Rule 50. Records Management

NARA shall have complete control over the management, preservation, cataloging, storage, and disposition of court records. NARA’s authority shall extend to records generated by all federal and municipal courts under the jurisdiction of the United States.

This rule shall be effective immediately after passage, shall not expire, and shall apply to all federal courts of the United States.

The authority of this rule shall be derived under the Rules Enabling Act.
